Studio Hire Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply to all studio hire bookings at House of G. By making a booking, you agree to follow these terms and the reasonable instructions of the studio owner.

1. Studio hire

House of G is a private photography and creative studio in Glasgow, available for hire by photographers, models, content creators and other creatives.

Studio hire provides exclusive use of the studio for the agreed booking period. The studio, equipment, furniture and props must be used responsibly and returned to their original condition at the end of the hire.

2. Booking and payment

Studio hire must be paid in full in advance to secure your booking.

When you enquire about a date, I may hold the requested time in my diary while payment is being arranged. A booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.

If payment is not received within the agreed timeframe, I reserve the right to release the date and make it available to someone else.

Any additional charges agreed before or during the hire must also be paid as requested.

3. Hire period

Your booking begins and ends at the agreed times.

Please allow sufficient time within your booking for setting up and packing away. If you need additional time, please ask in advance rather than assuming that extra time will be available.

Additional time may be charged at the applicable studio hire rate.

4. Who can attend

You are responsible for everyone attending the studio as part of your booking. Please provide accurate information about the expected number of people attending when making your enquiry. House of G reserves the right to refuse access to anyone whose behaviour is inappropriate, threatening, abusive or otherwise creates a concern for the safety or comfort of others. Everyone attending the studio must be 18 or over, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

5. Use of the studio

House of G is intended for photography, filming, content creation and other agreed creative activities.

You may use the available furniture, props, sets and equipment that have been agreed as part of your hire.

Please treat the studio and everything in it with care.

You must not:

  • Damage or deliberately misuse studio equipment, furniture or property
  • Move heavy furniture or equipment in a way that could cause damage
  • Use equipment you have not been shown how to operate safely
  • Make alterations to the studio without permission
  • Use adhesives, paints, liquids, smoke, flames or other potentially damaging materials without prior agreement
  • Carry out any illegal activity

If you’re unsure whether something is permitted, please ask before doing it.

6. Lighting and equipment

Professional lighting and other studio equipment may be available as part of your hire, depending on your booking.

You are responsible for using equipment safely and appropriately.

If you are unfamiliar with a particular piece of equipment, please ask for assistance before using it.

Any damage caused through misuse, negligence or failure to follow instructions may be chargeable.

7. Props, furniture and client closet

House of G has a range of furniture, props, accessories and alternative wardrobe items available for suitable shoots.

Items must be treated with care and returned to their original location after use.

Latex and rubber clothing should be handled appropriately to avoid damage. Please follow any care instructions provided.

If an item is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, the cost of repair or replacement may be charged to the person responsible.

8. Alternative, kink and fetish photography

House of G welcomes alternative, kink and fetish-related creative work.

All activity must remain legal, consensual and respectful.

The studio is a professional creative environment. Everyone attending must respect personal boundaries and consent at all times.

House of G does not permit sexual activity involving anyone who has not given informed consent, or any activity that is illegal or unsafe.

If your planned shoot involves anything that may require additional safety considerations, please discuss it with me before your booking.

9. Consent & safeguarding

The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that everyone involved in their shoot has freely agreed to participate.

No one should be pressured into posing, wearing particular clothing or participating in an activity they do not want to do.

If the studio owner has reasonable concerns about consent, safety or illegal activity, the session may be stopped immediately.

10. Cleanliness and damage

Please leave the studio in the condition in which you found it.

This includes:

  • Returning furniture and props
  • Removing personal belongings
  • Disposing of rubbish appropriately
  • Cleaning up any mess created during the shoot
  • Reporting accidental damage before leaving

Normal wear and tear is expected. Damage caused by negligence, misuse or failure to follow these terms may result in an additional charge.

11. Cancellation and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please contact House of G as soon as possible.

Where reasonable notice is given, I will do my best to accommodate a change of date.

Any refund or transfer of a booking will be considered in accordance with the cancellation terms communicated when the booking was made.

If a booking has to be cancelled by House of G due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, you will be offered an alternative date or refund of the studio hire payment.

12. Your responsibiity

The person making the booking is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate booking information
  • Ensuring everyone attending understands these terms
  • The behaviour of everyone in their group
  • Looking after the studio and its contents
  • Ensuring their activities are legal and consensual
  • Paying for any damage caused by themselves or members of their group

13. Photography and privacy

House of G is a private studio.

I will not use images created during your hire for my own marketing or portfolio without your permission.

If you photograph or film the studio itself, please be mindful of other people’s privacy and do not photograph or record anyone without their consent.

14. Right to refuse or end a booking

House of G reserves the right to refuse or end a booking where there are reasonable concerns about:
  • Illegal activity
  • Lack of consent
  • Unsafe behaviour
  • Harassment or threatening behaviour
  • Damage to the studio or equipment

Serious breach of these termsWhere a booking is ended because of a serious breach of these terms, a refund will not necessarily be provided.

15. Questions before booking

If you’re unsure whether your planned shoot is suitable for the studio, please ask before booking.

I’d much rather have a conversation about your plans beforehand than have you arrive and discover that something isn’t going to work.

Have a question? Get in touch before booking.
